A bridge collapsing inside the weakened weight of the mind
(As I stand and wait while everything is out of my touch)
Division built with recesses of hard work and time
(Slipping Through my fingers with an emptiness I can’t clutch)
Museums standing so vacant, hollow patch-worked with lies
(Why does everything I love just feel so out of touch)
Why is everything a revelation?
With a golden ending
I see the source within
But continue with these vacancies
We bore beneath out skin
Seeds
We sow
Colourlessly
So lost, holding on to what I think is left of me
With a golden ending
I see the source within
But continue with these vacancies
We bore beneath out skin
And so with brick by brick I pile the rubble to the mound
(As I stand and wait while everything is out of my touch)
Collecting remnants of the past, present and future in tow
(Slipping through my fingers with an emptiness I can’t clutch)
It seems the work is ever building with no end in sight
(Why does everything I love just feel so out of touch)
Why is everything a revelation?
With a broken ending
The fight begins to dim
While I continue with these vacancies
I bore beneath my skin
With a golden ending
I see the source within
But continue with these vacancies
We bore beneath out skin
Navene managed to pull it off as solo songwriter (bar Evan writing bass lines maybe). I will say though that Dark Future maybe had better overall flow, but the individual song arrangements here are special indeed. Melodic dissonance that I could only wish I were able to write.
