Death toll paid by years
Of strife and momentary illegal casualties
(Negate)
A long standing social contract
Inflict the law
With genocidal classist instincts involved
Devolve
Our freedom as you tell us to
Absolve
Ourselves of sin we didn’t understand
False strands
Of “truth” paired alongside the lies you
Sold
And all we do is crawl to survive
You all are running on borrowed time
Why not? You say
As you demonize the lifestyle you’ve come to break
Sit down
Class has started now’s not the time to speak
Swept under the rug
As you tear us down
Swept under the rug
As we disappear
And all we do is crawl to survive
You all are running on borrowed time
As you cry out for more
As we
Lose all that we had
Memories are now dust and sand
Washed away by tidal waves
Of colonized decisions force upon us
As if it what was meant to be but
We had no say
And so your kingdoms rise
Built on fallacious pride
Buried in sin and heaven’s right
Corrupted and rotted system, roots spanning to deep to see
Watered by privileged intent and feeding off the people they wish to keep
Heads under ground.
Listening but breaking up the frequency
All milage taken steps backward
Time turned to forgotten misery
You force your opinion on me
You force this opinion on me
You force their opinion on me
Force your opinions so hate can live free
Now I can see the omens
Placed within the stars
Death displaced on each of us
Whose silence breaks
Know now the sun won’t rise
Finally losing peace
I’m finally losing peace
I’m finally losing pieces of me
I’m finally losing peace
End times come
Navene managed to pull it off as solo songwriter (bar Evan writing bass lines maybe). I will say though that Dark Future maybe had better overall flow, but the individual song arrangements here are special indeed. Melodic dissonance that I could only wish I were able to write.
